In 2014, following my divorce, I found myself standing at a crossroads. I knew that to be the best parent—and the best version of ‘Debbie’—I had to take a holistic approach to my life. That meant looking both inwards and outwards, understanding not just who I was in that moment, but who I wanted to become.

This was when I was first introduced to coaching. It wasn’t just about setting goals or solving problems; it was about shifting perspectives, unlocking potential, and truly listening—both to myself and to those around me. Coaching became a transformative force in my life, helping me navigate challenges with clarity and purpose.

As I grew, I saw how powerful coaching could be beyond personal development. In the workplace, I witnessed firsthand the incredible impact it had on teams and leadership. The shift from a traditional "tell" management style to one that empowered individuals through coaching was nothing short of revolutionary. Instead of managers dictating solutions, they began to ask powerful questions, listen actively, and create space for growth. The result? More engaged employees, stronger leaders, and workplaces built on trust and collaboration.

Since then, coaching has been at the heart of everything I do. Whether I’m working with young people, supporting parents, or helping leaders develop, my approach is always centred on empowerment, transformation, and meaningful change. Because when we truly listen—to ourselves and to others—we unlock possibilities we never thought existed.
