Neuro Fascial Release:
Fascia is a continuous, web-like connective tissue that surrounds and penetrates every structure in the body, including muscles, bones, nerves, organs and blood vessels. It forms an interconnected tensional system, allowing tissues to glide and move efficiently while maintaining structural integrity.
Fascia is also one of the body’s richest sensory organs, housing millions of nerve endings. Sensory receptors constantly send information to the brain about pressure, tension, movement, and internal body states, effectively allowing the nervous system to monitor and respond to the body’s condition. This communication is crucial for proprioception, pain perception, and autonomic regulation.
Restricted or dehydrated fascia can contribute to pain, stiffness, imbalance, headaches, indigestion, fatigue and impaired nerve function.
Neuro fascial release aims to remove fascial restrictions and restore nerve function.
This non-invasive hands-on complementary technique uses precise pressure and light stimuli to trigger the body’s natural reflex response to release tension.
Who is it for:
- Physically active people (sport, gardening, etc)
- People who often have to do repetitive strenuous movements (dancers, golfers, gymnasts, cleaners, etc.)
- People who work in compromised postures (dentists, artists, musicians, plumbers, electricians, desk jobs)

During a session:
Liezel will take a short case history to determine possible reasons for the cause of discomfort.
She will ask about previous injuries, strenuous activities, lifestyle, etc.
The client is fully clothed during this gentle procedure and will first lie face down and then face up on a comfortable bed.
A session typically lasts about 50minutes (except for the 1st session where more time is needed to gather information.)
Liezel does a series of reflex tests to locate areas of tension and then applies precise pressure to release the tension.
