The Impact of Cranio-sacral based Therapy on the
Health and Educational Outcomes of Children

The seminar will be of interest to those involved within health and education, at all levels, including policy makers and especially those working with or having responsibility for children and disabilities.

Neuro-developmental Delay in Children

Children who find school challenging often have a profile of developmental delay and may display a range of difficulties with their physical co-ordination, learning, speech and language development and behaviour.

The Dunmurray/Lisburn Extended Schools Partnership would like to invite you to an event to raise awareness of the effects of Neuro-developmental Delay in our children and the skills required to anticipate and manage the consequent behaviours.

Anne Matthews has given educational talks over the years on

Neuro-developmental Delay and explains the benefits of Chiropractic and Cranio-sacral Therapy for children,

to schools and charity groups.   She also gives practical advice for parents at evening talks in order to assist with enhancing family dynamics by increasing their awareness in this area of work.

She was involved in an Extended Schools Programme, involving 3 secondary schools in Lisburn – Lisnagarvey, St Patrick’s and Dunmurray High – which included delivering talks on the subject to teachers and classroom assistants.  She has worked hands-on with their Special Needs Groups and guided teachers as to ways in which to integrate the knowledge into their management within the classroom.

The primary schools include –

Cedar Integrated Primary School, Crossgar
Millenium Primary School, Carryduff

The charity groups include –

National Childbirth Trust – Belfast and Down branches
Lifestart, Portaferry

In which she has explained the positive benefits of her practical approach to the management of the pregnant women, newborns and children using the integration of her therapeutic tools from the disciplines of Chiropractic, Physiotherapy and Cranio-sacral Technique.
