What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a degree-based healthcare profession with the aim of helping to restore movement and normal body function when someone is affected by injury or illness.
At the Belfast Chiropractic Clinic & Complementary Therapies, we believe in a ‘whole person’ approach to health and wellbeing. At the core is the patient’s involvement in their own care. This is achieved through education, awareness, empowerment and participation in their physiotherapy treatment. You can benefit from physiotherapy at any time in your life.
What do physiotherapists do?
Physiotherapists are health professionals with graduate training in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
The physiotherapy assessment and treatment sessions aim to optimise healing and aid the speed of recovery. Your physiotherapist will work with you to set goals and develop an action plan for future management of your problem. In addition, outlines on what to do at home and/or work will be used to help speed up your progress.
At the Belfast Chiropractic Clinic & Complementary Therapies we deliver Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy which focuses on treating injuries and conditions which affect the muscles, joints, and soft tissues. Some examples of injuries which can be treated by the Physiotherapist include:
Neck or back pain
What treatment is available?
